Air Systems, Inspection & Adjustment - 4 Hour Clinic
 

Program begins with roadside inspection of 15 virtual tractor/semi-trailer air systems.

  • Work through a series of truck, tractor and semi-trailer drawings.
  • Identify air system function - air compressor, several air dryer models.
  • Discuss AL factor and how each brake gets it's power.
  • Braking power achieved by both manual and automatic brake adjusters.
  • Brake chambers and spring brakes - standard, long stroke and long-stroke with welded clevis yoke.
  • Discuss automatic brake adjuster installation and troubleshooting.
  • S-Cam brake basics - What is a Mark and Measure test?
